Casa Encosta ao Sol is a contemporary and expansive beach villa where elegant design meets lush gardens and sandy landscapes, with views towards Praia do Pego in the distance.  With lean architectural lines and panoramic floor-to-ceiling windows, the interiors of this property are filled with natural light. Here, life moves at a gentle pace with sun-filled days cycling to the beach, reading a book by the pool, long outdoor dinners with friends and family, and nights lulled by the sound of the ocean nearby.

A spacious open plan living and dining room opens onto a partly covered outdoor terrace making it easy to enjoy meals together either indoors or “al fresco”, depending on the mood and the weather. Whilst a feature fireplace adds warmth and atmosphere, making this Comporta holiday home equally inviting for an off-season escape.

The villa accommodates up to 10 guests, and has four well-appointed bedrooms, including a master suite with a private terrace and outdoor shower as well as a quadruple bedroom, ideal for youngsters. All the bedrooms are fitted with mosquito screens and light blocking blinds.

The property is also equipped with reversible air-conditioning (hot and cold) and fans for year-round comfort. Wi-Fi is available throughout and for guests’ amusement, there is a Smart TV and a table football outdoors.

At the heart of outdoor life at Casa Encosta ao Sol, is the pool terrace and solarium area with surrounding gardens (2500 sq metres) that offer total privacy. The swimming pool is framed by a pinewood deck, can be heated on request and is equipped with an electric cover. As evening falls, this outdoor chill-out area becomes the perfect place to unwind with a glass of wine while watching the sky turn soft shades of pink over the Atlantic. Garden lighting gently illuminates the space, allowing guests to savour the magic of warm Comporta nights long after sunset.

This region is renowned for its breathtaking coastline, with miles of white sand dunes and clear turquoise waters. Casa Encosta ao Sol is located within an exclusive and secluded domain with several beach bars and restaurants within walking distance – the surrounding area is perfect for exploring by bike.

The charming village of Carvalhal is just a 5-minute bike ride away, while Comporta, known for its laid-back, hippy-chic boutiques and wider selection of restaurants, is only an 11 km drive.

Also worth visiting is Melides, located at approximately 15 minutes driving distance and where you’ll find a handful of cafés and restaurants, artisan shops, a charming church square, and a small market to wander through. The beautiful boutique hotel by Christian Louboutin is a must-visit while you’re there – its bar and restaurant are open to the public and offer a special treat to enhance your stay.

GENERAL BOOKING & CANCELLATION TERMS

  • Minimum 7-night bookings on a Saturday-to-Saturday basis applies
  •  Check-in after 16:00 hours & check-out before 10:00 hours
  • No parties for more than full capacity & due to the location of the property there are also restrictions on loud noise after 23:00 hours; no pets & strictly no smoking indoors (penalty equal to security deposit)
  • Extra services are subject to availability and should be booked well in advance especially in high season; no credit cards accepted locally, only cash
  • Non-refundable rental deposit of 30% required to reserve the property
  • Rental balance due 6 weeks prior to start date of rental, not refundable after this date
  • Security deposit of €3,000 to be paid in advance of rental - this amount minus any applicable charges is refundable at the end of the holiday
