Villa Jasmine’s peaceful rural location near the beaches of Pego and Carvalhal offers an idyllic setting for family beach holidays or friends get-together.

This charming holiday home is composed of three traditional style thatched cabanas with high ceilings opening onto enticing exteriors for “al-fresco” living. Ample use of blue hues fills the eclectic interiors, with artisanal pieces and flea market finds, reclaimed wood furniture and wicker chairs giving the villa a bohemian mood.

The cabanas are connected by wooden decks with bougainvillaea and jasmine covered pergolas, providing generous shaded areas for chilling out with a good book, enjoying long slow outdoor meals or sitting out late into the night. To the side of the house is a built-in barbeque and extra outdoor dining area. Beautifully set between the cabanas, the heated swimming pool is framed by wild grasses and Mediterranean shrubs.

Wi-Fi is available throughout and there is a smart TV. The main rooms are fitted with air conditioning/heating and all the windows and doors have mosquito netting as well as light-blocking shutters.

Villa Jasmine sits between other Comporta vacation villas in a quiet cul-de-sac overlooking rural fields and rice paddies which you can cross to reach the beach. Both Pego and Carvalhal each hosting great beach bars/restaurants, are just 10 minutes-walk away.

Nearby, the village of Carvalhal has a few basic cafés and eateries, supermarkets and small shops selling freshly caught fish and locally grown vegetables. Children can take some lessons with Surf in Comporta whilst grown-ups can treat themselves at the Quinta da Comporta spa. Or you can go horse riding at “Cavalos na Areia”. Comporta village with its hippy-chic shops and a wider range of restaurants is located 12 kms drive away.

• Minimum 1-week rentals and Saturday change-overs apply apply between 13 May – 16 September; minimum 5 nights rentals are accepted during other periods
• Check-in after 16:00 hours & check-out before 10:00 hours
• No parties for more than full capacity, no pets, strictly no smoking indoors & due to fire risk the fireplace is out of bounds (penalty equal to security deposit)
• Extra services are subject to availability and should be booked well in advance especially in high season; no credit cards accepted locally, only cash
• Non-refundable rental deposit of 30% required to reserve the property
• Rental balance due 6 weeks prior to start date of rental, not refundable after this date
• Security deposit of €1,500 to be paid in advance of rental – this amount minus any applicable charges is refundable at the end of the holiday
