Our secluded and spacious Villa São Miguel totals 400 sq metres of modern luxury with full concierge services included and is particularly suited for family holidays. It has 4 bedrooms, a heated swimming pool, a kid’s playground and a croquet court. There is wifi throughout and the living room has a stunning feature fireplace.

The property is located on the grounds of an old wine-producing estate (now a luxury hotel) in the south coast of São Miguel island with Ponta Delgada city centre at just 6 kms distance and the airport 8 kms away.

Nicknamed of “the green island” due to its lush verdant landscapes, São Miguel is the largest of the Azores archipelago. It offers much to explore from incredible nature trails, crater lakes and waterfalls, dormant volcanoes and imposing calderas, a few volcanic beaches and architectural heritage.

The capital of Ponta Delgada is home to the 18th-century City Gates, the Gothic St. Sebastian Church and the 16th-century Fort of São Brás. From its airport, there are air connections to all the islands as well as to Porto and Lisbon in mainland Portugal, and there are direct international flights to the UK, USA, Canada, Germany and Spain amongst others.

Lying to the northwest and an absolute must-not-miss sight of the island is the village of Lagoa das Sete Cidades and its twin craters, one green and one blue. And to the east at Furnas, you can enjoy the healing powers of relaxing in hot thermal springs of an active volcano. The highest crater lake of the island Lagoa do Fogo is also stunning, whilst the small bay of Santa Cruz in the south is where once its fortress helped fight off pirates and buccaneers.

The complimentary concierge service at this villa will help organize a number of activities and fun for all the family including walking or biking; canoeing or kayaking; whale watching and swimming with dolphins; diving or fishing; booking golf tee-off times; surfing, body boarding or paddle surfing; a tour of the lagoons or some private sailing; a yoga class or some massages.

2021 RENTAL PRICES IN EUROS

High Season – 1 June to 15 September

€1,000 p/night, 5 nights minimum stay

Mid Season – 1 April to 31 May & 16 September to 31 October & Christmas/New Year (24/12/20 – 03/01/21)

€750 p/night, 2 nights minimum stay

Low Season – 1 November to 23 December 2020 & 4 January to 31 March 2021 

€500 p/night, 1 night minimum stay

  • The minimum stay applicable for this property is 1 night in Low Season, 2 nights in Mid Season, and 5 nights in High Season with flexible change-overs
  • Check-in after 14:00 hours; check-out before 12:00 hours 
  • No parties for more than full capacity, no pets & strictly no smoking indoors (penalty equal to security deposit)
  • Extra services are subject to availability and should be booked well in advance especially in high season; no credit cards accepted for extra services, cash only accepted locally
  • Non-refundable rental deposit of 50% required to reserve the property
  • Special “Covid19 Pandemic” flexi terms up to 9 weeks before the start of the rental date – option of changing to alternative dates up to the end of 2021, free of charge and subject to availability; although we recommend that you also be covered by Covid 19 related insurance similar to https://www.portugaltravelinsurance.com
  • In Low & Mid Seasons the rental balance is due 4 weeks prior to start date of rental; in High Season the rental balance is due 6 weeks prior to start date of rental Security deposit of €500 to be paid in advance of rental; in exceptional cases & when pre-arranged, the security deposit can be paid at the property – this amount minus any applicable charges is refundable at the end of the holiday
