"Enjoy São Miguel's south coast from this stylish, spacious oceanfront villa, complete with concierge services, a heated pool and a jacuzzi, and only minutes on foot from the beach."
Enjoying spectacular panoramic ocean views, Villa São Miguel offers 400 sqm of beautifully designed contemporary living space. Created with families and groups of friends in mind, this exceptional oceanfront villa combines stylish comfort with a full concierge service for a truly luxurious stay.
Occupying a prime waterfront position on the south coast of São Miguel Island, the villa features a light-filled open-plan living, dining and kitchen area, where floor-to-ceiling glass doors open onto expansive terraces and gardens overlooking the Atlantic. Outside, guests can relax in the jacuzzi, gather around the fire pit as the sun sets, or take a dip in the climatized infinity-style swimming pool, perfectly positioned to take full advantage of the breathtaking coastal views and enjoy the sounds of the Atlantic.
Villa São Miguel features four elegant, air-conditioned bedrooms, including a magnificent first-floor master suite with its own private balcony overlooking the ocean. Wi-Fi is available throughout the property, and a delicious daily breakfast is included, a great start before setting off to discover the island.
Nicknamed “the green island” due to its lush, verdant landscapes, São Miguel is the largest island of the Azores archipelago. It offers much to explore, including incredible nature trails, crater lakes and waterfalls, dormant volcanoes and imposing calderas, a few volcanic beaches and architectural heritage too.
The capital of Ponta Delgada is just a few kms away and is home to the 18th-century City Gates, the Gothic St. Sebastian Church and the 16th-century Fort of São Brás. From its airport, there are air connections to all the other islands in the group, as well as to Porto and Lisbon on mainland Portugal. There are also direct international flights to the UK, USA, Canada, Germany and Spain amongst others.
Lying to the northwest and an absolute must-not-miss sight of the island is the village of Lagoa das Sete Cidades and its twin craters, one green and one blue. And to the east at Furnas, you can enjoy the healing powers of relaxing in the hot thermal springs of an active volcano. The highest crater lake of the island Lagoa do Fogo is also stunning, and the small bay of Santa Cruz in the south features a fortress once used to fight off pirates and buccaneers.
The complimentary concierge service at this villa will help organise a number of activities and fun for all: walking or biking, canoeing or kayaking, whale watching and swimming with dolphins, diving or fishing, booking golf tee-off times, surfing, body boarding or paddle surfing, a tour of the lagoons or some private sailing, a yoga class or some massages.
WARNING NOTES: Guests need to be aware that the villa features floor-to-ceiling glass windows and doors plus some unprotected drops from interior and exterior steps, young children need to be supervised.
