Casa da Infanta is particularly suitable for large family holidays, golfing or corporate groups. With 180º views and several terraces surrounding this beach villa, outdoor meals or sundowners don’t get much better than this! The views are of fishing boats passing in front of the house and yachts making their way to and from the marinas, with the well-known Algarve resort of Praia da Rocha across the wide estuary; whilst the rear looks onto the Monchique mountain range.
The name of the property translates into English as the “House of the Princess” and remains in the ownership of the Portuguese Royal family today. Since the Princess’s days, the villa has been updated to modern standards with most of the bedrooms fitted with air-conditioning, yet retaining many of the original features, including the antique beds with the family coat of arms.
It has a total of 9 bedrooms including a triple room for children; spread over three floors, with a lift servicing each of the 3 levels.
Casa da Infanta is the larger of 2 holiday villas that can be rented independently or together on the same estate – the other is Casa da Praia for 6+2 guests. Each is secluded by pinewoods and has a private pool (which can be heated), as well as direct beach access.
You can also walk along the beach to the charming waterside village of Ferragudo, a gem of the Algarve coast, hosting a number of quayside fresh fish and seafood restaurants.
WARNING NOTES: There are some unprotected drops from various terraces and around the swimming pool – young children need to be supervised.
