Vila Cistus enjoys an excellent location just minutes from Carvalhal and Pego beaches, and a short drive into the village of Carvalhal.

Contemporary yet intimate, this charming property is ideal for families and has four ensuite bedrooms - three doubles (one can be converted into a twin) and a double bunk bedroom especially suitable for children. The sunlit interiors include a mezzanine level over the living room, offering a quiet nook for reading, watching a movie, or playing games. An open-plan kitchen, dining, and living area flows onto a shaded dining terrace, a lovely spot for breakfast with views of the pool. The downstairs terrace and pool surround are decked and beautifully framed by Mediterranean plants. At the end of the day, you can head up to the magnificent rooftop terrace for sundowners and front-row seats to experience the soft, shifting tones of those special Comporta sunsets. Designed for outdoor living the terrace has a built-in barbeque, dining and lounging areas, perfect for long laid-back meals with loved ones.

The villa is equipped with all mod cons including WIFI, smart TV and air conditioning. Making it particularly family friendly, the grounds are fenced in and there are a choice of board games and a pool table available for guests to use.

Comporta’s relaxed barefoot-chic vibe makes it one of Europe’s top holiday spots. Just a 15-minute walk through a rural field leads you to a beach, or you can explore the area by bike. Pego and Carvalhal beaches both feature trendy beach bars and restaurants, and there is also a surf school at Carvalhal. Other activities like horseback riding and golf are available nearby. Charming Comporta village, known for its hippy-chic shops and offering a wider variety of restaurants, is a short 11 km drive away.

WARNING NOTES: Due to some unprotected drops from the roof terrace and stairs, young children need to be supervised.

First Floor – There is a mezzanine level over the living room set up as a nook/games room with a smart TV.

Roof Terrace – Very spacious covered terrace with a built-in barbeque, dining and lounging areas.

  • Swimming pool (8x3,5 metres & 1,5 metres deep) w/roman steps, surrounded by a deck area & outdoor shower; pool loungers & shade provided
  • There are two built-in barbecue areas, downstairs and on the rooftop terrace
  • A range of board games (including mahjong) and a pool table are available for guests to use
  • Private parking area for 1 car, but there is plenty of free street parking too
  • Meet & Greet + Villa Manager backup during stay

2026 RENTAL PRICES IN EUROS

July & August - €11,000 per week

June & September - €8,000 per week (minimum 5-night stay pro-rated)

October to May - €6,300 per week (minimum 3-night stay pro-rated)

  • Minimum 7-nights rentals with Saturday changeovers applies in July & August; minimum stay of 5 nights in June & September & 3 nights in May & October
  • Check-in after 16:00 hours & check-out before 10:00 hours
  • No parties for more than full capacity, not pets & strictly no smoking indoors (penalty equal to security deposit)
  • Extra services are subject to availability and should be booked well in advance especially in high season; no credit cards accepted locally, only cash
  • Non-refundable rental deposit of 30% required to reserve the property
  • Rental balance due 6 weeks prior to start date of rental, not refundable after this date
  • Security deposit of €1,000 to be paid in advance of rental - this amount minus any applicable charges is refundable at the end of the holiday
