Nestled on the edge of the tranquil Aldeia do Possanco, Villa Gaura exudes a relaxed atmosphere with its bright, airy interiors decorated in natural materials and soft, earthy tones. This elegant and contemporary holiday home is ideally situated just a short distance from Comporta’s stunning sandy beach.

Facing southwest and surrounded by a vibrant garden, the villa and its main terrace overlook the pool and the lush, cultivated fields beyond. The open-plan living area downstairs features floor-to-ceiling sliding glass doors that open onto a shaded terrace with an outdoor dining space and an adjacent barbecue area. All five bedrooms are beautifully designed and filled with natural light. The master suite, located on the top floor, includes a private terrace, while the other bedrooms open directly onto the pool terrace below. Among these, two bedrooms share a bathroom, and two suites span two levels, each with a mezzanine bedroom.

Start your mornings with a peaceful al fresco breakfast, cool off with a swim in the pool after a day at the beach, enjoy leisurely barbecue lunches, and spend sunny afternoons reading in the company of songbirds. At sunset, the terrace becomes the perfect spot for drinks before heading out for an evening in charming Comporta.

The villa is air-conditioned but also features mosquito netting on all doors and windows, allowing you to enjoy fresh air with open windows if you prefer.

The Possanco–Comporta area is ideal for exploring by bike. Just 2 km away, Comporta’s centre offers a great selection of trendy shops, restaurants, and bars. Don’t miss stopping by Gulato, near the villa, for delicious artisanal ice cream. Nearby Troia boasts a golf course, Roman ruins to discover, and dolphin-watching boat trips on the Sado River estuary - an especially delightful experience for the young ones.

 

WARNING NOTES: There are unprotected drops from the mezzanine level of two suites, and no handrails on the stairs to the First Floor or the Basement, so young children need to be supervised.

Top Level – Master suite (Queen size bed of 180x200 cms), shower bathroom with two basins & separate WC, plus a private south facing terrace overlooking the pool, garden and fields beyond the borders of the property.

Higher Mid-Level – Entrance hall & guest WC. Spacious open plan living room with wood burner, dining area and well-equipped kitchen. The kitchen has breakfast bar separation to the dining area as well as direct access from the hallway.  Floor-to-ceiling sliding windows open onto a shaded terrace for outdoor dining and the built-in barbeque area. Two double bedrooms (each with bed of 160x200 cms) sharing a shower bathroom. The bedrooms on this level also feature sliding glass windows opening onto the pool terrace.

Lower Mid-Level – Three steps down to two twin suites, each with a mezzanine bedroom (each with 2 beds of 90x200cms) have a small living area and shower bathroom on the lower floor. The bedrooms on this level also feature sliding glass windows opening onto the pool terrace.

Basement – Laundry Room

  • Bedroom and bathroom linen is changed once a week for rentals of one week plus
  • Mosquito nets on all windows of the property & bedrooms with double curtains (to blackout light & preserve privacy)

2025 RENTAL PRICES IN EUROS 

July & August: €1,500 p/night

Easter: €1,350 p/night

June & September: €1,250 p/night

October till May (excluding Easter): €1,000 p/night

  • Minimum 7-nights rentals on a Saturday-to-Saturday basis applies in July & August; 5 nights minimum stay applies over the Easter period; 3 nights minimum stay accepted during the rest of the year
  • Check-in after 16:00 hours & check-out before 10:00 hours
  • No parties for more than full capacity, no pets & strictly no smoking indoors (penalty equal to security deposit)
  • Extra services are subject to availability and should be booked well in advance especially in high season; no credit cards accepted locally, only cash
  • Non-refundable rental deposit of 30% required to reserve the property
  • Rental balance due 6 weeks prior to start date of rental, not refundable after this date
  • Security deposit of €2,000 to be paid in advance of rental - this amount minus any applicable charges is refundable at the end of the holiday
