Perfect for a peaceful family holiday or break with friends, Sobreiras Altas is a modern and secluded villa with 4 en-suite bedrooms, infinity pool, lawn and Mediterranean garden. The property is located between Melides and Comporta on the Alentejo coast and enjoys stunning ocean sunsets over a forest of cork and pine trees.

The accommodation offered is elegant and very comfortable and all on one level, with all the main rooms opening onto the covered decked terrace designed for outdoor living and enjoying the views. All-fenced-in grounds of 200,000 sq metres ensure total privacy and lots of space for children to run around, as well as featuring a playground and barbeque area. There is also an extra studio with shower bathroom within the grounds that would make the perfect office or staff suite by special arrangement.

The villa is suitable for year-round rentals and has electric block-out blinds on all the widows, wooden floors in the bedrooms and terracotta floor tiles elsewhere to keep it cool in the summer; whilst under floor heating, will warm up colder winter days.

Portugal’s Alentejo coast boasts a stunning coastline of long sandy beaches between rugged cliffs and the vivid blue Atlantic Ocean. There are plenty of beach bars and restaurants where you can enjoy fresh seafood, a glass of local wine and watch the most extraordinary sunsets. Melides nearby is a low key and traditional village with a handful of eateries and cafés, artisans’ shops and a market. Further up the coast, the village of Comporta and nearby beaches of Pego and Carvalhal are well known for their trendy summer vibe.

But should you want to try some Alentejo gastronomy and wines, you need to look no further than down the drive, where the Taberna restaurant opposite the villa, provides an excellent regional menu!

WARNING NOTES: This property is particularly suitable for children with its gated pool and playground, however there are some unprotected drops around the edges of the garden where young children need to be supervised.

No parties for more than full capacity, not pets & strictly no smoking indoors (penalty equal to security deposit)

Non-refundable rental deposit of 30% required to reserve the property
Rental balance due 6 weeks prior to start date of rental, not refundable after this date
Security deposit of €2,500 to be paid in advance of rental – this amount minus any applicable charges is refundable at the end of the holiday
